ABOUT ME:
|
With an MFA in Acting from Rutgers University, I have spent nearly three decades bringing complex characters to life on stage and screen. Highlights include playing Ruth in A Raisin in the Sun (twice), as well as Cleopatra and Goneril in King Lear opposite André DeShields. I also appeared alongside James Spader in NBC’s hit series The Blacklist.
Born in Haiti and raised in Miami’s vibrant cultural melting pot, I developed a deep appreciation for language and storytelling. Through audiobook narration, I bring my acting background, strong dialect work, and vocal versatility to stories that reflect a wide range of voices and cultures. I have narrated several books for Library of Congress, Books for the Blind and a bilingual (English and Haitian-Creole) children’s book for Library Ideas. I particularly enjoy narrating Psychological Thrillers, Romantic Suspense, and Cozy Mysteries, where tension and intrigue drive the story. Memoir is especially meaningful to me, as it allows space for vulnerability and emotional truth. My narration style emphasizes warmth, authenticity, charisma, and gravitas, with the ability to deliver strength and authority when the character calls for it. Outside the booth, I prioritize health and wellness through daily fitness and enjoy international travel, which continually deepens my connection to language, culture, and storytelling.
